Wellbeing and Happiness at Work

It is a well-known fact that happy, healthy employees are more productive, and Warwick University published a report recently on the impact that happiness also has on supporting employee productivity.

If your business could benefit from increased productivity without the cost of additional team members, why wouldn’t you want to invest in your team's wellbeing and happiness?

So, grab a coffee and have a think about these four simple questions:

  1. Does your workplace foster a culture that allows your team to be happy and thrive at work?

  2. Is this culture consistent within all areas of your business – including HR?

  3. How do you identify initiatives to enhance your team’s wellbeing and happiness at work?

  4. How are you measuring success and the return on your investment in wellbeing and happiness?

Supportive tools to improve wellbeing and happiness do not need to cost the earth, but they can take time to identify and embed into your business, so let me help you!  I have a great audit tool that will help us identify which initiatives would work best in your business.  I have identified over 50 potential solutions to support your approach to wellbeing and happiness, and these include evaluating your company values along with providing you with training and support for both your wider team along with your managers.

I have recently worked with a couple of highly proactive leaders who not only took the time and effort to commit to focusing on employee wellbeing, but they also fully immersed themselves in the initiatives that we implemented together.  Their belief in the benefits of investing in wellbeing and happiness means that they have some of the happiest and most engaged, and committed teams that I have worked with. I do not doubt that they will go on to be highly successful in the next few years.

One of the reasons that I continue to work in HR is to work with those businesses that want to provide employees with the very best work environments, so if this is you, I would love to hear from you.
